According to John Williams, of Shadowstats.com, the real inflation numbers for this past quarter were more like 11% as opposed to the 40-year-high 4.25%. Inflation is getting very ugly.
I posted some good news earlier with regards to the global oligarchs getting a well-deserved swirlie lately. However, let’s not kid ourselves about the havoc that’s already been wrought upon us. We must prepare ourselves for significant hardships moving forward. It’s inevitable unless you live a life divorced from numbers and reality.
Practical and Spiritual Advice for Catholics
We need to do the following:
1) Practice detachment from all superficial material things (the things that are about to REALLY sky-rocket in price). This means we need to break whatever addictions we have now (alcohol, caffeine, sugary foods, gambling, etc.).
2) Practice minimalism even with regard to the more essential items.
3) Get closer to God and frequent the life-sustaining abundance of the Sacraments, at least as much as possible given the wickedness of the clergy who lock them away from us.
4) In general, practice material minimalism & spiritual maximalism.
Inflation is going to hurt, but never give up hope and strap yourself in for a painful ride of economic redemptive suffering.
