I would like to wish everyone a Happy Feast of Pentecost, but I’m afraid I feel compelled to remind everyone of a grave problem we have in modern society.
There is no respect for the Lord’s Day any longer.
I bet employers would concede if some Muslim objected to face panties on the basis of religion. We also know that they would cave in to the first temper tantrum committed by a BLM activist (remember last Summer). Employers WILL makes exceptions to their rules and policies when it’s something they respect or at least acknowledge. Does anybody think the same could be said about Christians keeping Sundays holy?
To put it directly, would an employer ever grant a religious exemption to an employee who claimed that it was sacrilegious to work Sundays?
No, it would never happen in the USSA, not even close.
Even today, on the Feast of Pentecost, the third most important feast of the year (behind only Easter and Christmas), would employers grant “non-essential” workers the opportunity to avoid servile labor? Of course, not.
How many bosses have the faintest idea what Pentecost is?
No, in a day and age where so many things have been rendered non-essential, the ability of the laborer to devote even just a day to worshipping the one true God is nigh on impossible. Business simply cannot sustain that (so we’re told).
Frankly, as long as this continues, I’m not even the slightest bit sympathetic with those companies that cannot staff their operations. Their “penny-wise/pound-foolish” approach to everything has led them to this condition. This is one more symptom of the inhumanity of technocracy and our obsession with efficiency at the expense of everything else.

We who remain faithful must honor the 3rd Commandment (keeping the Lord’s Day holy), set the example, and pray for the healing of a pagan society with corrupted values; a society that cowers before convoluted ideologies like Islam and Secular Humanism yet fails to honor God.
May everyone have a happy and holy Feast of Pentecost. Let us hope for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Veni Creator Spiritus!
