Blessed Ascension Day!

I wish all readers a holy and uplifting Ascension Day!

He is Risen, He is Ascended, and He will come again in glory! Let us remain confident in holy hope.

Meanwhile, as you may notice from the featured image, not all “Catholics” believe in commemorating this feast at its proper time. The Synodal Anti-Church, especially its American tentacle, transfers this glorious feast to Sunday (in most dioceses), thereby nerfing the theological significance of Jesus Christ’s time spent with the apostles 40 days after His Resurrection.

Recall that 40 days was the same duration Jesus spent in the desert and the time the Hebrews should have taken (had they not sinned) to reach the Promised Land in the Old Testament. Days, numbers, and ecclesiastical tradition matter! By moving the feast to Sunday, today’s modernist bishops (if they can be called clergy at all) would seem to imply that the Ascension occurred 43 days after the Resurrection (to accommodate post-VII Catholics).

This, of course, is ecclesiastical poppycock, but I have a fun way to mock the modernists who perpetuate this.

If you wish to announce your frustration with our calendar-challenged friends, then consider purchasing a bottle of Licor 43 for your “local ordinary.” Yes, it’s more of a Christmas drink, but, hey, who cares when these holidays fall anyway?

It’s a tasty drink and reminds them of how many days they believe transpires between the Resurrection and Ascension, per their watered-down version of Christianity. Just make sure they save it for Sunday because apparently nobody can either attend Mass or drink low-proof liquor on a weekday.Either way, if you cannot make it to Holy Mass today (since attending the Novus Ordo is NEVER an option), then don’t forget to commemorate Our Lord’s Glorious Ascension with additional prayer (Rosary, Breviary, spiritual reading, etc.). Let us give thanks to the Lord for He is Good and His mercy endures forever.
