Sometimes the individuals with whom we share many common opinions can be a tremendous source of frustration. Case in point, we now see yet another cleavage forming between traditionalists who believe either Russia or the Jews, but not necessarily both, are the epicenter and source of all our problems, after, of course, the demons controlling them.
Have you seen this? Have you noticed the new dialectic: Russia or the Jews, you must choose which will be the most notorious villain? To offer more than cursory attention to the other is to succumb to incredible error.
I think this is a tad over-simplistic and would like to pursue the appropriate remedies.
In fact, I have a solution to this “dialectic,” and since I don’t toy with such nonsense, I won’t call it a “synthesis.” I will say plainly: BOTH Russia and the Jews are the problem. Why must we partition one from the other?
This doesn’t forbid us to say that one may supersede the other in importance, but I contend it is obvious they coalesce and present imminent dangers to men of goodwill. That’s what I wish to discuss, and will do so by delineating the divergent positions held by two of my favorite thinkers: 1) Dr. Deep State (it’s the Jews), and 2) Augustine Virgil (it’s Russia).
I’ve reviewed both of their books favorably, but as some of you know, Virgil and Deep State are at odds with one another, despite holding almost altogether overlapping views. The source of their disagreement is the dialectic I’ve outlined along with different opinions of the controversial cleric, Fr. James Mawdsley.
For those who do not know of these men, I’ll introduce them briefly.
Dr. Deep State (Douglas Haugen), a political scientist, operates both a YouTube and Locals channel dedicated to demystifying the wickedness of the “deep state” with a special emphasis on the “Jewish Question” or “Jewish Deception.” He is the author of at least three books, including his newest release, Saints of the Apocalypse.
Augustine Virgil (his pseudonym) is a relative newcomer to the Traditional Catholic commentariat, having made a modest name for himself quickly with his comedic work, Inferno, a Dantean adaptation of today’s modern hellscape. As a strong devotee to the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima, Virgil emphasizes the significance of Russia as the most dangerous instrument of chastisement awaiting us.
Both men are as sharp as a whip, but we might see if they possess certain blind spots that contribute to this “Russia or the Jews” false dichotomy. With those brief introductions in mind, I intend for this article to cover the following topics.
- Russia or the Jews? Who’s the REAL Big Baddie?
- Augustine Virgil’s so-called “hit pieces” on Fr. Mawdsley
- The significance of Opus Dei within the crummy “conservative” Catholic agenda
Russia or the Jews?

I should say that Virgil may not know Dr. Deep State, but the latter is familiar with the former, having accused Virgil of composing a libelous attack against Fr. Mawdsley, who Virgil believes could be a Russian double agent. I’ll come back to that, but I’d like first to dispel this “either/or” nonsense about Russia and the Jews.
There are two reasons to believe the Russian nation-state has been co-opted into a Jewish agent, thereby making the two either indistinguishable or perhaps a type of master/apprentice relationship.
- The Bolshevik Revolution was a Jewish scheme
- Chabad Lubovitch, a collection of the most dangerous and influential Jews worldwide, comes from Russia (and dominates its foreign and domestic politics)
All you must do is remember two items, and the entire dispute over which is worse, Jews or Russia, becomes moot. The Jews and modern Russia (not the pre-Bolshevik nation) possess a symbiotic association. Both Dr. Deep State and Virgil seem to miss this obvious point, somehow, despite their erudite analyses.
I won’t spend forever re-explaining why those two items are expressly Jewish AND Russian (since it’s obvious, anyway), but I’ll leave a couple sources for you.
First, check out Fr. Denis Fahey’s “The Rulers of Russia” pamphlet, explaining how several of the Bolsheviks either were Khazarian Jews or had Jewish ties. Where there is smoke, there is fire.
Such a disproportionate percentage of Jews destroying a long-standing monarchy and hijacking a country where they comprise less than 1% of the population should astonish us just as much as the over-representation of Jews in the inaugural United Nations and elsewhere. Also, if Jewish Bolshevism wasn’t enough, then you’ll find plenty of Jewish Zionism mixed into the Russian communist legacy, too.
Secondly, Nurse Clare just gave an outstanding explanation of the Chabad Lubovitch cult in her recent appearance on the Barnhardt Podcast (about halfway through it). She connects several figures, such as Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin, Benjamin Netanyahu, and other prominent Russians and non-Russians to this perfidious sect, hellbent on enacting the Jewish vengeance agenda known as Noahide Laws.
Russia is also called the “Cradle of Chabad,”. This country, which I’ve criticized in several previous articles (for instance, here, here, and here) is arguably the primary player in organized global Hasidic Jewry, something no serious student of the topic can overlook.
There is other source material, but I believe this gives readers at least the gist of the story. Again, I think it’s all rather obvious.
What, however, do our two traditionalist thinkers have to say?
Dr. Deep State, for his part, correctly diagnoses the nature of the ancient enmity between the seed of the serpent and the seed of the woman as an ongoing war pitting Catholics against Jews who seek another Messiah. However, while he understands much about Chabad, Zionism, Kabbalah, the Zohar, the Sephirot, and the various Jewish tentacles strangling the crippled remains of Western Civilization, he tends to downplay Russia’s role in it.
To his credit, he includes a solid final chapter on the Fatima message in his last book, centering on the theme that the errors of Russia are Jewish Messianism. He rightfully concludes that those errors are not confined to a single nation, while describing the Bolshevik agenda and other Russian/Jewish schemes with substantial details.
Given all this, I don’t know why he believes Augustine Virgil focuses too much on Russia when he himself recognizes the perverse Jewish/Russian connections. His own writings and analyses suggest otherwise, yet his YouTube and Locals messages proclaim an all-Jewish narrative.
Recently, Dr. Deep State has opposed Virgil for his over-emphasis on Fatima and Russia, perhaps neglecting the essential fact that Our Lady specifically warned Russia would be the instrument of our chastisement. More to the point, he cannot, as he has tried, dismiss a perceived fixation on Fatima as over-stating a private revelation since his (very recent) book writings contradict such a position.
Finally, we should notice that the Blessed Virgin’s precise term to describe Russia was instrument of chastisement, which is not a metaphor, not a “first domino to fall,” not some minor catalyst, but indeed the instrument. This corresponds with the notion that Russia will be an important tool, if not the primary belligerent during a Jewish-driven chastisement from Hell.
Moreover, we ought to take this Marian message seriously as it coincides with the most illustrious miracle since Our Lord’s Crucifixion. It is a private revelation joined together with that all so public Miracle of the Sun, witnessed by tens of thousands. In other words, it’s not your garden-variety private apparition admonishing us to pray a little more.
It may seem like I’m piling a little harder on Dr. Deep State, but Virgil has been a little squishy on at least one or two issues as well. Judging by his interviews, he seems to think the prospects of decapitation-heavy Noahide Laws are exaggerated. To this I would say that the guillotines are probably the least of our concern once we discover what else the Noahidists have prepared for us in their FEMA camps, Alligator Alcatrazes, and other Diocletian-inspired nightmares.
Wouldn’t it be just like the Jews to enact some Noahidish terror as one of their “October surprises,” which they often unleash around their so-called Day of Atonement? You might remember the October 7th scam, but I already mentioned their greatest October surprise to date: the Bolshevik Revolution. We might expect this pattern to continue, featuring some execution of the Noahidist agenda.
I won’t attempt to predict the exact timing of when the “heads will fly,” but the Russian-based Chabadists are indisputably the architects and prophets of Noahidism. Moreover, it has been none other than Virgil himself who believes the errors of Russia amount to a Judeo-Masonic attack on the Church. Russian Chabadists could very well fulfill his expectation.
That’s because they’re Jews AND Russians (at least many of them).

This will include all Christians who profess a Triune Godhead (Father, Son, & Holy Ghost), which Schneerson (who some Jews consider a Messiah precursor) and many others find blasphemous and deserving of death under Noahide.
By the way, just for fun, I challenge both Augustine Virgil and Dr. Deep State to debate (each other). I’ll moderate it. Either way, we cannot understate Fatima and Russia, just as we cannot understate the Jewish Deception.

It even includes Dr. Deep State, TradCatKnight, Fr. Paul Kramer, Fr. David Hewko, Bishop Williamson, and basically . . . everyone.
Augustine Virgil’s Investigation of Fr. Mawdsley
So far, I haven’t said much about the Fr. Mawdsley controversy, underpinning this divide between Virgil and Dr. Deep State (at least from the latter’s perspective). Virgil has accused Fr. Mawdsley of a suspicious activist past, connections to the odious Opus Dei, and of even being a Russian spy. Dr. Deep State takes exception to this, primarily out of admiration for the priest’s extensive Jewish Deception commentary.
You can explore Virgil’s entire case against Fr. Mawdsley in the following two articles (though they are quite lengthy):
If you read both, you’ll encounter much more detail than what I’ll summarize, but the following are what I’d consider Virgil’s most salient points. I will, however, leave the verdict to you.
Among the many suspicions Augustine Virgil levies against Fr. Mawdsley, perhaps the most intriguing is the fact that he worked as a priest for the Fatima Center while seldom, if ever, mentioning anything about the Errors of Russia.
If true, that would put the priest at odds with every other praiseworthy priest from that organization (Fr. Gruner, Fr. Rodriguez, Fr. Kramer, etc.) who has spoken of Russia almost ceaselessly. To put it simply, shining a light on Russia and her errors is core to the center’s mission (see for yourself). It is therefore reasonable to question someone who doesn’t promote one of an organization’s core beliefs.
Moreover, the errors of Russia are not just a mere “party line” for the Fatima Center either, but one that comes from the Blessed Virgin Mary, and is corroborated by subsequent holy mystics, like Blessed Elena Aiello. If you couple this odd omission with everything Virgil documents about Fr. Mawdsley’s youth (particularly, him instigating possible regime changes in Burma), then it becomes conceivable that the priest might have involvement with de-stabilizing organizations, such as the Kremlin.
Of course, there’s more to it than that as well. I’m offering just the cliff-notes version here.
Virgil further delves into Fr. Mawdsley’s dubious history, namely his ties to various individuals, families, and Catholic organizations. He reports that Mawdsley married the daughter of a heavily CIA-connected former U.S. intelligence expert/professor, allegedly opening several relationships with members of the (dangerous) intelligence community.
From there, he connects the Hicksons (Mawdsley’s wife and in-laws) to a type of CIA/academic/Opus-Dei industrial complex, replete with suspicious non-profit fronts (such as “MotiveLove.com”). Virgil also criticizes the priest’s emphasis on political activity, including bids for British Parliament seats, which involved rubbing elbows with shady lords and politicians.
Again, this is my cliff-notes account. We could debate how well all the connections coalesce to form a coherent narrative, but please read for yourself and decide.
Ultimately, I do not know for certain whether Augustine Virgil is correct about Fr. Mawdsley (being a Russian spy), but he sews together a somewhat compelling case. There is a plethora of details to ponder after reading his two pieces. One thing is for sure, however. Fr. Mawdsley is the only one who could defend himself against these allegations. Everyone else, especially his Catholic media confreres, seems to resort to sentimental appeals in his defense rather than examining the evidence point by point.
The most effective defense we’ve yet to encounter is his interview with Avoiding Babylon (worthwhile listen, despite some rambling) where Fr. Mawdsley addresses the Russia omissions, a little about his political connections and marriage, and other details from Virgil’s articles. I would give this a chance even if you have already concluded that Mawdsley is a fraud.
I think, however, that the interview was a little thin on the subject of Opus Dei, a key component of Virgil’s case. Therefore, I’d like to offer my take on that organization, not necessarily to defend/prosecute Mawdsley, but to remind everyone why traditionalists should guard against them at all costs.
Opus Dei -> Conservative, MLM-Style Mind Control (and more)
I’ve detected an uptick in Opus-Dei-related videos and essays lately, so I’ll keep this succinct. This “personal prelature” has some significance here because of its (alleged) connections with Fr. Mawdsley. It also presents us with another way of comprehending the Left/Right dialectic, at least within Church politics.
In short, Opus Dei is the right wing’s version of the Jesuits. The latter once served an important missionary purpose for the Church, although communist pedophile heretics have since transformed it into the public face of the Synodal Anti-Church. Opus Dei, an organization that has concocted its own version of “good works” and “God’s calling,” has, on the other hand, been a clandestine, sketchy entity from its inception.
What are the fruits of Opus Dei?
Their works are much more aligned with those of our secret-societal enemies, the Freemasonic lodges and mafias. In order to demonstrate that, I’d like to tie this back to some of the subtle mind-control topics I’ve mentioned previously.
Opus Dei’s recruitment and “grooming” resemble multi-level-marketing (MLM) business schemes, something I covered in my earliest mind-control article. MLMs and other cults cajole new initiates into their life-consuming scams through “love bombing,” presenting false solutions for people’s insecurities, promises of wealth and prestige, and other techniques to relax someone’s inhibitions.
Substitute the part about “wealth” with “holiness” and you’ll find the basic recruitment model for Opus Dei.
Consider first this example of an Opus Dei survivor who became trapped in the organization after her mother got her into it, about the same way someone would recruit friends/family into Amway. Before the young child entered Opus Dei, she barely had access to food, clothes, and shelter. Opus Dei satisfied these necessities, promised a sure path toward sanctity, and then, when the time was right, morphed the teenage child into something akin to an indoor slave.
In another case, one lady laments being ostracized from her friends and family after joining Opus Dei during college. Tammy DiNicola specifically recalls a “slow breaking of ties with her family and pre-Opus Dei friends.” This is no different from getting sucked into an MLM or ‘Devil Corp,’ forced to forsake loved ones just to work 80-hour weeks for a “personal business” that pays exclusively commission.
The only difference is Opus Dei enjoys the protection of the Synodal Anti-Church for its chicanery. Both MLMs and Opus Dei are hotbeds for severe sexual predation as well. I’ll allow you to decide whether to peruse the uglier details of these accounts. You can learn more by reading Randy Engel’s interview with Eileen Johnson who explains the society’s hierarchical structure, secret ceremonies, education rackets, and “Spirit of Opus Dei.”
My guess is that spirit operates much like that terrible Spirit of Vatican II.
Opus Dei, like MLMs and pyramid-scheme organizations, also recruits a lot like the mafia and Freemasons (for “supernumeraries” instead of “associates” or “entered apprentices”). It’s one of those “tap you on the shoulder” invitations.
Elite secretive organizations scan society for potential members who fit the best blend of naïve, obedient, useful, and above all, willing to keep their mouth shut. To no surprise, Opus Dei, conducting its affairs this way, has a massive presence around the D.C. Swamp and nearby Virginia, veritable breeding grounds for secret society scumbags.
Of course, my description of the personal prelature wouldn’t be complete without a few passing words about its founder, Jose Maria Escriva, the man who received “canonization” in exchange for Opus Dei bailing out the Vatican Bank (i.e., SIMONY). This was in 2002, during the waning JPII pontificate. It leads me to wonder whether JPII’s saint factory could be better styled as a saint bank?
It’s even hard to describe the purpose of Opus Dei. Like the Republican Party, it’s saturated with glittering generalities and phony sunshine. This may have been part of Virgil’s point about Elizabeth Hickson and her superficial “Motive Love” nonprofit. Everyone in Opus Dei conservative land comes across as a generic, plastic-fantastic, Tony-Robbins-esque, feel-good agent. Traditional Catholicism, for many reasons, doesn’t espouse such rubbish, not the least because of how duplicitous it is.
Also, like the Republican Party, it’s difficult to distinguish from its adversaries if you dig into its platform for any length of time, especially when you can connect them to the same primary source. As Leo Zagami reminds us, both Opus Dei and the Jesuits come from Spain, and have dominated Church affairs and secular politics there for quite some time. It’s not even inconceivable that Opus Dei spawned from the Jesuits, despite divergent ideologies.
Then, we should remember that Opus Dei entanglements are nothing new to “conservative” Catholics, meaning Fr. Mawdsley, if he was part of the group, enjoys the company of plenty of shifty characters. Other suspected Opus Dei conservative Catholics include Michael Voris, his enemy who outed him, E. Michael Jones, Taylor Marshall, and Scott Hahn, to name a few.
Chances are, if you encounter someone who has been virulently anti-SSPX at some point, and they have a substantial platform, then they may be Opus Dei. I’ve also noticed many parallels between those attached to Ecclesia Dei and Opus Dei. I would trust neither.
Could Fr. Mawdsley be one of them? Well, it’s possible, especially considering, as Augstuine Virgil has noted, the bishop who consecrated Mawdsley (Abp. Guido Pozzo), devised a scheme to convert the SSPX into a personal prelature (the unique ecclesiastical structure invented for Opus Dei). This same cleric was in charge of Ecclesia Dei (AKA, enemies of the SSPX) for about 10 years.
The handwriting is all over the wall, and I invite readers to devote some time to examining the fine points of Virgil’s detailed analysis along with other sources. Sentimentality or cynicism on the matter are no substitutes for virtuous studiousness.
Finally, I welcome Dr. Deep State to explore this issue on either his YouTube or Locals forum, since I don’t believe he’s provided his talented treatment of the Opus Dei issue yet. I’m not alone in this request either, since many of his Locals followers would like to hear from him on this topic as well.
Conclusion – Consecrate Russia & the Jews to Our Lady
If you find any of these minutiae over Virgil, Dr. Deep State, Fr. Mawdsley, Russia, or the Jews still bewildering, then I cannot say I blame you. It’s as if we’ve found our 2026 trad-Catholic version of professional wrestling and soap operas. The difference is that some of this is relevant, both for determining who you can trust and identifying the greatest threat facing true Catholics.
Therefore, when there is doubt, we must retreat to Our Lady of Wisdom for solace while beseeching Jesus Christ for the grace of perseverance. As I repeat every time, it should involve praying Our Lady’s Psalter every day, preferably all 15 decades, for optimal results.
It is also of utmost importance that we do this so that we may live to see a true pope finally consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Once this happens, the chastisements will cease (in the blink of an eye, according to St. Pio), and we’ll enjoy our long-awaited peace.
God bless Augustine Virgil, Dr. Deep State, Fr. Mawdsley, and anyone else trying to “connect the dots” and avoid succumbing to the overwhelming and pervasive mystery of iniquity.
